Take Your Stand

Welcome to Take A Stand Ministry, where we take prayer very seriously. We encourage you to take a minute to just check us out. We have seen God do so many awsome things, just by prayer. We base our ministry from Ephesians 6:10-20, which talks about putting on the whole armor of God. We believe that the youth of America is under attack like never before. We also believe that if we can be here to encourage young people of every age, color,& race, to "Take A Stand" that together we can face the enemy head on, & shine like a light in the darkness. If this sounds like something that you want to be a part of, please, by all means, feel free to add us!

We are called to reach the unreachable. The people who have been hurt by churches, who have been judged by others. We want to show the hurting that God does love them. As the Bible says,"Man looks at the outword appearance, but God looks at the heart." So, that being said, we could care less if you are rich, poor, have purple & green hair, tatoos, piercings, are an outcast,a geek, or the most popular kid in school. We are here to pray for you, listen if you need someone & if you feel all alone, whatever we can do, we will.

  To Surrender

The word surrender means that a believer completely gives up his own will and subjects his thoughts, ideas, and deeds to the will and teachings of a higher power. I have heard this word used in many way buy my question is what does it really mean with our walk with God.
The first main principle of "surrender" within the religion is "Dying to Self", or the "emptying of self" to allow Christ to live through the believer. Now as follower of God we are called to give our complete surrender to the one that we serve and if your really look at it when we surrender to God, we are simply acknowledging that what we "own" actually belongs to Him. He is the giver of all good things. We are responsible to care for what God has given us, as stewards of His property, but by surrendering to God, we admit that He is ultimately in control of everything, including our present circumstances. Surrendering to God helps us to let go of whatever has been holding us back from God's best for our lives. By surrendering to God, we let go of whatever has kept us from wanting God's ways first.
Have you ever caught yourself asking why you rise your during praise and worship at your church. I know I have and one day I final got the nerve to ask someone just why we do that. They told me that it shows that you are surrendering your life to God and that all you have is now his to own.
Another doctrinal principle central to the Christian Concept of Surrender in line with the other two, and often expounded more, is the concept of surrender to God's Will. Surrendering to God's will entails both the "surrender of our will to His in macrocosm", in which His plan prevails over man's and the adversary, and secondarily to the surrender of one's will for individual life to "His will for our personal lives in microcosm." This is done through the emptying or dying of self, the "putting self aside" in favor of divine influence. This includes the idea of surrendering to a call (the word "vocation" is rooted in the Latin vocare, referring to God's voice). The corollary of this personal surrender is obedience, and obedience to God is denoted as bringing about His will, having lasting effects, and often associated with earthly and divine blessings.
Now I know you have been hearing a lot about just giving it all to God but let me kind of clear it up a little more. When we are told to surrender to God that does not mean that God wants our computer, TV, or our games but what he really wants is out life and the way that we live it. To become a Christian is to become Christ like and to do that you have to realize that every thing that we do in our day to day life need to reflect the fact that we are living for God and not for the world.
Does becoming a Christian mean that you have to be perfect. Yes and No! We are suppose to be as perfect as Jesus was but remember Jesus was God in the Flesh and neither of them sinned but we are human and we were born into sin therefore we can never be like Jesus but we can at least die trying are we going to slip and fall sometimes. Yes! That is why God is willing to forgive us.
You know I remember someone telling me that the way you tell a try warrior from a fake. Is the fact that when a true warrior falls and gets hurt he just gets right back and keeps fighting to the death. When a fake one cries and wants to give up at the first sign of a hard time. Now that is what makes some of Christians different we are not willing to give up that easy. Also some of us are willing to fight to the death for the God the brought us into this world.

  Dreams!!!

While for the past few days I have been hung up on. For the past few days I have been thinking about dreams and what mean to us. I don't really know why this topic has been on my heart but the more I talk to my friends and family they tell me about weird dreams that they are having.
There area a lot of people having a lot of weird dreams. Now I do believe that God does try to speak to us through dreams and it is our chose if we want to listen or not!
Now let me tell you that all my friends and family is not saved like I wished they were. So if you really have any input on this topic please send me a message because I want to know what God is trying to tell me about dreams.
Wesley Stuart
